Fog

lays heavy,
ominous, and untouchable,

 which I draw in
walking to the feeders

nothing has been right for a while…
the weather—the absence of security

 I wish it would be
as it was in sleep…peaceful.

 Yet,
formless angst sweeps through…
                                                the fog—
                                                  and a friend so ill.
