Do you have a favorite line or lines from your accepted pieces for The Ginger Collect?
I’d heard of the Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to the Little People and the Society for the Preservation of Magical Beings, but I didn’t really know anything about them.
What inspired your piece?
My somewhat offbeat sense of humor.
What do you want readers to take away from your piece?
It’s important to reach your own conclusions rather than depend on others to make up your mind for you and leave some space for magic in your life.
Who is your most influential writer? Who do you always go back to for inspiration?
Do you keep any snacks around while you write? If so, what’s your favorite?
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are often inspriational.
What season do you find you write the most in?
Do you ever create soundtracks for the piece you’re writing?
What is your ideal writing environment?
Alone at home.
Do you find writing invigorating or exhausting?
Beginning and finishing a piece is invigorating. The middle is always exhausting.
Do you have any future writing plans?
Working on a children’s middle grade fantasy book and am writing the occasional creative non-fiction piece and fantasy stories.
