The Final Syringe

In the end, they said
it was her thumbprint
on the plunger
full of drain cleaner
and hydrochloric acid

and they couldn’t prove

even if three tenants in the building
saw him leave
minutes after the screams began

so now he’s got a new girlfriend
across town
who’s starting
to lose weight fast
