Diluvium

They rise eventually:
The sleepers, the revelers
In the grass, the coyote phantoms
With their legacies of song.
After the ice thaws
There will even be blue palaces
Re-administered,
Pacts the dead made
Taken upon anew.
Someone must have convinced
The resurrectionist to work
His magic,
To let the past materialize
Like a receding shore.
Even the flower lost
In the Panthalassa Sea
Resurfaced.
Its face barely altered
By the ravaging salt.
