Who is your most influential writer? Who do you always go back to for inspiration?
It’s always changing, but right now it’s Alice Munro.
What inspired your piece?
One of my teachers mentioned that sometimes you can come up with a story by asking yourself why someone would do a certain thing, so one day I wondered why and what kind of person would try and discern the kind of person that lived in a house by going through their mail.
What season do you find you write the most in?
Probably Winter, but mostly because it’s cold and there’s not much you can do outside.
Do you find writing invigorating or exhausting?
Depends on the day, but mostly it’s either invigorating or meh.
What is your ideal writing environment?
I would love to be outside most of the time I write. Problem is it’s almost always too bright, too windy, or too hot/cold for comfort. So usually I settle with just lounging in a banana chair under a lamp.
Do you keep any snacks around while you write? If so, what’s your favorite?
Do you have any future writing plans?
Yes! I plan to write more and more stories and hope to publish a book one day.
